It always bugs me when people try to prescribe to others how to talk. “Simple people talk this why, instead of saying this, talk like a ‘magnetic person’ by saying this instead.” Fuck you. Enforcing class systems. Let people speak as they do. Create a culture of understanding, not assimilation. Create the space that allows people to speak “When I say x, this is what it means.” The irony now is that I’ve prescribed a way to speak. And it is pitfalls like this what cause me to avoid speaking.
